For this first Gallery, these are a very small sample of the station not long after it was built. The station, built in 1902, was one of the important stations to the ACR at its time. This station initially featured a smoking room - a circular waiting room which burnt down a few years later, and also included a freight house section.
Special Thanks to Dale Wilson & Chris van der Heide
These pictures were taken in the hay day of the Algoma Central Railway, when the Searchmont station was still being used right up until it was closed in the year 2000. These pictures show the current building today. With no add on freight area, or smoking room

This Album will show pictures of the station after it was closed in 1994. The station was open for open doors Ontario in 1998, but was closed after. In 2008, vandles got in and pretty much destroyed the interior.
Thanks too, Terry W, Paul Duncan, Ted Ellis, Thomas Seiler
This is the Station at current up till December of 2013. These pictures were taken by Chris van der Heide.
